Hi, my name is Unique Mire and I’m a single mom of three wonderful children. One of my children has Down syndrome y’all may know him as the baby who says “hi” on social media. Recently, I unexpectedly lost my car, and even the simplest daily tasks like getting my kids to school, attending my own classes, and taking my son to his regular appointments in Houston have become very difficult. These appointments are essential visits he needs out of town to stay on track with his health and development. I’ve been relying on Uber for everything, doctor visits, school dropoffs, and all the things we do in our daily life. Doing it without a car is very challenging. Riding in Ubers with all three of my children is scary and sometimes dangerous, but I keep pushing because I have three children depending on me, and I won’t give up! Any support, or even just sharing this, would mean so much and help my family work toward a more stable routine and reliable transportation to make daily life safer for my little family. I am truly thankful for any support, no matter how small, and even just sharing this means so much to my family. Thank you all!
