Dear friends,
We are a family of five, called to serve. My husband and I are pastors and the directors of a community-based nonprofit organization that has been faithfully working since 2015 to meet needs in some of the most vulnerable communities—in New York, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and beyond.
Our organization exists to bring hope, healing, and practical resources where they are needed most. Over the years, we’ve been blessed to host food programs to fight hunger, provide backpacks filled with supplies for children from low-income families, host outreaches to provide resources to high-need communities, and partner with churches, community organizations, corporations, and caring individuals to make it all possible.
Here in New York, we have worked closely with local precincts to help bridge the gap between NYPD and the community—hosting tournaments, movie nights, and events designed to foster trust, peace, and unity. We also mentor at-risk youth, offering guidance, mentorship, and spiritual care to help them envision a brighter future.
This is our life’s mission, and we have given it our all. But now, we find ourselves in need of help.
We recently welcomed our third child—three little ones, all under the age of three. Currently, our family of five is living in a very small one-bedroom apartment in Bushwick. While we are grateful for the roof over our heads, it has become increasingly difficult to raise a young family in such tight quarters, and we long for a safe, stable home where our children can grow up secure and loved.
Our dream is to secure a pastoral home—not just for ourselves, but as a safe haven where we can continue to serve our community, open our doors, and keep doing the work that has touched so many lives.
The challenge is that, as a nonprofit family living on a modest income, we don’t have the means to save for a down payment or comfortably cover a mortgage. Every dollar that comes into our ministry, we joyfully pour right back into the mission of helping others. And so today, humbly, we are asking for help.
We are so used to giving—meeting the needs of others, providing comfort and care—but now we are in a season where we are asking for a little support in return.
Would you prayerfully consider helping us secure a safe and loving home for our family? Your generosity will not only provide shelter for our children, it will also ensure that we can continue the mission that has been placed in our hearts: to serve, to give, and to bring hope to communities near and far.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for considering being part of this journey with us. Together, we can make this dream a reality—for our children, for the families we serve, and for generations to come.
With gratitude and love,
Pastor Lillian Ayala
