Yesterday’s, devastating floods swept through Milwaukee, leaving many families displaced and heartbroken. Among them is a single mother of four children and two beloved dogs, whose home suffered catastrophic damage.

When the basement wall collapsed, floodwaters rose all the way to the main level. Two teenage bedrooms — along with nearly all their belongings — were completely destroyed. The family lost clothes, furniture, personal treasures, and the safe space they called home.

One of the children is on the autism spectrum and deeply sensitive to change, making this displacement especially difficult. Right now, they are staying together in a hotel while facing the uncertainty of what comes next.
