Support a Military Family's Cancer Battle

Donation protected
There is a young family in our military community whose world changed in an instant. Their 2-year-old child—full of light, curiosity, and the innocence only a toddler can have—has been diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer that no child should ever have to face. The tumor sits deep within the bladder wall, where surgery simply isn’t possible. All this family can do is hold on tight and walk forward through months of chemotherapy and radiation.

Since that day, life has become a blur of hospital hallways, beeping monitors, oncology waiting rooms, and tearful late-night conversations about hope and fear. Their little one has endured needle pokes, long treatments, and exhausting days that would break most adults—and yet still finds the strength to smile, reach for a parent’s hand, and cling to favorite toys during the hardest moments.

This journey will continue through September 2026—a long, heavy 15 months of treatment. And while the emotional toll is unimaginable, the financial strain has become overwhelming. The parent who supports this family is lower enlisted and the sole source of income, quietly carrying the weight of providing for the household while trying to stay present for every treatment, every scan, every sleepless night.

This fundraiser comes from a place of genuine love and compassion. It is being organized personally, from the hearts of people who simply want to help. It is not endorsed by or tied to any military organization or program. It’s a community stepping in for a family fighting a battle no one should face alone.

Your kindness will help provide:
• A safe place to sleep when the Ronald McDonald House is full
• Gas for the countless miles traveled to and from treatments
• Meals during the long days spent in the hospital
• Medical costs that insurance doesn’t cover
• The breathing room this family desperately needs to stay strong for their child

Every donation—big or small—lifts a piece of the weight they carry. It gives this family hope on days when it’s hard to find any, and reminds them that behind all the hardship, people still care deeply.
