At Memphis Allies, we talk a lot about courage, sacrifice, and showing up for people when it matters most. One of our own—an exceptional staff member who puts his life on the line every single day to keep our community Safe, Free, and Alive—is now facing a heartbreaking moment no one can prepare for.

On Wednesday, he lost his mother. She was his anchor, his “why,” and the person who pushed him to keep going even when the work got heavy. She recently became ill and secured an insurance policy in May, but because the policy is less than two years old, the funeral home cannot accept it. That means the full cost of her funeral falls entirely on him, right in the middle of his grief.

This is a man who has stood in the gap for countless families… who has rushed into situations most people run away from… who has shown compassion, bravery, and commitment on levels that truly embody the spirit of Memphis Allies. Now, he needs us.
