Hello,

My name is Ruben Ramirez, and I am a proud alumnus of Santa Maria High School, Class of 2002. During my time at SMHS, my assigned Assistant Principal was Mr. James “Jimmy B” Boyle.

I’m reaching out to share something very meaningful. I recently contacted Santa Maria High School and received approval to purchase and install a memorial bench on campus in honor of Jim Boyle.

I had the privilege of meeting Jim during my junior year, and we quickly developed a close relationship. Even after graduating, we stayed in touch and built an unbreakable bond. Jim was more than just an administrator—he was a mentor, a guide, and a compassionate supporter who filled so many gaps in students’ lives. His dedication and care left a lasting mark on me and countless others.

I’m asking for your support in helping fund this memorial bench so that current and future students at Santa Maria High School can learn about the profound impact Jim had on our school community. It’s a small way to ensure his legacy lives on in the place he loved so much.
