We are raising funds for George VonSeggern to have a memorial at the Toledo Zoo & Aquarium where he was a staple of the Park Operations Rides Operation for many years.

George was many things to many people. A fellow service member, a father figure, a Supervisor and most importantly of all- a friend. In his time at the Zoo, he helped to mold so many young individuals who were navigating high school and college. He served as a mentor for many of these young individuals, and he took pride in this unofficial role. He was one of the kindest individuals you would ever get to know, and left lasting impressions on the countless Zoo guests he interacted with over the years. He would often be recognized about town as the "Train Driver" that kids came to love.

Any funds above and beyond the cost of the bench and plaque will be provided to the VonSeggern family.
