On October 31, 2025, our family experienced a heartbreaking loss with the passing of a beloved husband, father, and grandfather - Fredrick M. Baber. Fredd tragically lost his life while flying his plane home to Florida from Saratoga, New York.

His passing has deeply affected countless lives, and his warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be profoundly missed.

In his memory, his wife Janice hopes to place a memorial bench in their neighborhood. Throughout their community, many benches overlook the peaceful ponds that surround the area. Fredd and Janice often talked about how it would be nice to have a bench at the end of their street - a quiet place to sit, reflect, and enjoy the view together.

This bench will serve not only as a lasting tribute to Fredd's life but also a place for his family and friends to find comfort and healing in his memory.

In addition, we will be making a donation to Pilots N’ Paws, a charity that relocates orphaned dogs via flying to new owners. Fredd was a sucker for dogs and volunteered to become a partner with this charity to give the pups a better life.
