Hi, my name is Kyisha Joshua, and I’m the author of Struggle Within a deeply personal memoir that has been years in the making.

This book is more than just a story it’s my truth. Struggle Within is an unflinching look at my journey through family secrets, identity crises, addiction, mental health struggles, and ultimately, the long road toward healing and self acceptance. At 14, I found out the man who raised me wasn’t my biological father. At 31, I discovered my real father through a DNA test. In between those years were heartbreaks, breakdowns, DUIs, psychiatric holds, and spiritual awakenings all of which shaped the woman I am today.

I’m raising funds to help cover the publishing and promotional costs of bringing this memoir to life. This includes editing, design, printing, marketing, and distribution everything needed to ensure this story reaches the people who need it most. I truly believe Struggle Within will resonate with anyone who’s ever felt silenced, unseen, or misunderstood.
