I am a 49 year old female whom have recently had a total knee replacement and is seeking assistance for my husband's health.
My husband for 25 years, together a total of 28 years is now fighting for his life. When he first got ill, he asked God to let him see his children graduate high school. His children are now in the process preparing for graduating from colleges and grad school. Now he wants to live to be able to walk his kids down the aisle at their wedding. He has been fighting since 2006. He loves life and being able to experience the emptynesrer life. He had experienced some depression because he could not provide like he envisioned. Now, he's fighting for his life.
Since the age of 29, my husband has been on a roller-coaster with the card of life he has been dealt. He has had over over 10 open heart surgeries, nasal surgery, multiple knee replacement surgeries, on and off of dialysis, and now this big hernia surgery, which in the process, a two year old broken rib was seen to have never healed. Now he has to be put into a medical induced coma for at least a couple of days. The last time he was in a medical induced coma for three weeks and it took him a month to get back to reality. He had to get a metal plate put between the broken rib to assist it to grow back together. He often asks me, why does things like this happen to good caring people that always help and do for others, why not this happens to noncaring people? During this surgery, another aneurysm was seen. His oldest daughter is really distraught, but I let her know that her dad would not want her to be distraught and to know he's fighting to live for his family and he loves us. My daughter texted me: “I know but he knows I have anxiety and I hate not talking to him, I call my daddy 6 times a day; it's my birthday”.
Since 2006, I have always been by my husband's and will continue to stay by his side every step of the way. He's a good man who has always given back to the community and those who're in need. We love to help others when we can. Now we are seeking help.
Thank everyone and be blessed.
