Hey, I am writing this on behalf of my uncle, Mone AKA Prentiss Damon Ware, born November 16, 1975, in Detroit, Michigan. As we write this today with a heavy heart in remembrance of our loved one, he went by Damon and P. In the year 2005, Damon/P was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Throughout the past two decades, his health has slowly declined, but of course, like a fighter, he fought back. In 2010, he moved to Arizona to find better health resources. In 2017, his health took a turn for the worse. The diabetes subjected him to a state of having to get his big toe amputated due to poor circulation and infections that were impossible for him to fight off. However, he didn't let that stop him; he continued to fight and live. Seven years later, he continued to fight, but his health had gotten the best of him. In 2024, the infections continued, resulting in a complete leg amputation for the same left leg from the year 2017. With having only one minor stepson and a loving fiancé, Damon/P had no choice but to leave his newly established family in Arizona to move back to his hometown where he could receive the best physical and moral support from his loving biological siblings living in Detroit, Michigan. He was transported and admitted to a hospital for a while before he was transferred to a nursing home where his health continued to decline as the infections started to affect his C4 and C5 vertebrae level, which is his backbone. This unfortunately resulted in him having spinal surgery. Having so much to fight through, Damon/P was able to see his family and friends before getting his final call home.
With a sudden and unexpected death, we are asking for help to give our loved one a peaceful and loving homegoing to properly lay him to rest and to say our proper goodbyes one last time.
