My husband, Todd, is the Operating Partner at the Sumter Moe’s and this is our friend, Carlos. He is one of Todd’s most loyal, most dependable and hardest working, longtime employees. In August, while playing with his nephews in the yard, he suffered an injury dislocating his kneecap. Surgery was required and he is now going through physical therapy. He won’t be able to work again until the end of October. That’s 8+ weeks out of work. As a restaurant employee, Carlos doesn’t have short term disability and doesn’t get paid when he doesn’t work (typical with this type of work). He hasn’t asked for a thing but will need some help with his bills before he is able to return to work.
