Support a Life-Changing Dental Transformation

Hi friends.

I’m in need of some help. For some time now my teeth have been in poor condition. I’ve had a series of traumas including a one-off seizure in 2020 which took my front teeth, and broke another which is now infected. I also have other infections which are causing me pain and I’ve needed teeth extracted before. Evidently when one tooth is in poor health, it affects all my other teeth by providing a place for bacteria to grow and accelerates the tooth decay.

Because of this and my inability to get care, it’s been years since I’ve had a nice smile. I’ve grown used to covering my mouth to laugh and I never show my teeth when I smile or take photos. I used to enjoy singing and doing karaoke with friends, but I don’t like to show my teeth especially in public, so I don’t do that anymore. I play music and want to start posting music online, but commenters can’t look past my teeth, and there’s no way to make the videos without showing them. And since my teeth look gross, I don’t like the videos in the first place either. I cannot date because not only do I feel I don’t look good, but my breath is bad because of the infections. I just feel so disgusting.

I recently went to the dentist to get a restoration plan, but my problems are so plenty, that he recommends pulling out all of my teeth and replacing them with a full set of synthetic teeth, mounted onto 4 implants they place in my jaw. It’s called an “all-on-4” procedure, and would send me out of the dentist with a complete set of new teeth the same day. Any option to save my current teeth would require a slew of extractions and implants that would cobble together a functional, but not pretty smile. And the procedures would over time amount to a greater debt than just doing the all-on-four procedure. However,

This procedure really couldn’t be more prohibitively expensive for me and my family, and I’ve already been turned down for all financing options. So I’ve started a gofundme with the hopes that I can afford to finally replace my teeth. It would mean everything to me to have a great smile, but I just don’t see how it’s possible. Some friends suggested I start a gofundme, so here I am. But the bill has me feeling pretty dejected. But it’s always worth a try. Let’s see what we can do?

How funds are used:

EDIT: I posted a new plan in my updates. Instead of going to a Portland-area dentist, I’m seeking care at one of the many excellent offices in Los Algodones or Tijuana, MX. The cost of the procedure is about $8000 per arch, so for me with needed both arches done, $16,000 plus travel. I set my goal to $19,000 to cover the multiple trips for surgery and checkups, care, as well as time lost for work.

This particular dentist happens to be offering an additional discount for the rest of the season to celebrate them paying off their in-house laboratory. This discount runs to the end of September and brings the cost down to $49,500. So we’re definitely hoping to raise enough by the end of September!”
