Support a TU LetterWinner: Help Fund His Liver Transplant
Donation protected
Dear LetterWinners, this is hard to say, and harder to post. I never thought I’d be having to do this, and it feels weird when you have to ask people for help… but I have to do just that.
My Dad was a four-year starter as a punter during the 1979-1982 seasons, and played for Head Coach John Cooper.
He has been diagnosed with NON-ALCOHOLIC STEATOHEPATITIS. It is a severe form of NAFLD, and the damage is not reversible. He has been fighting this for a while now and was improving; however, it is now progressing and is affecting both the liver and his kidneys, and he will have to have a liver transplant. Without a transplant, his symptoms will worsen, and he would eventually succumb to the damage.
Unfortunately, his insurance doesn’t cover some of the costs associated with the transplant, and we need your help. Financial assistance is needed for the procedure, and recovery.
I know times are tough, but anything you can do to help would be very much appreciated, and no gesture is too small. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers! Thank you, everyone ❤️
