Hi, I'm Rebecca Dufek, and I'm reaching out to you to help support A Lab for Life (ALL), a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to providing a compassionate life-line to abandoned dogs in Oklahoma and North Texas. This rescue rescues, rehabilitates, and then transports dogs from Oklahoma to New England, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania monthly. They started this mission in September of 2019, and have placed over 1,633 labs, and lab mixes, in forever homes that would have otherwise been euthanized or died on the streets. Recently, in September 2025, the bus they use for transporting these dogs to these states in the north, was involved in an accident on a highway on their way to transport 18 dogs 3,000 miles. Luckily no one was injured, and all animals made it to their forever homes safely, but the bus is no longer able to be used. Unfortunately the rescue will not be able to offer more dogs their second chances at happy loving homes if they do not find the funds for a new bus quickly. They have a scheduled transport for October 2025 that may not happen due to no bus. And this breaks my heart! Oklahoma is over populated with animals already, and our local shelters are not taking strays at all, unless they are seriously injured. The shelters are telling people to release animals where you found them on the street here in Oklahoma currently.
