A Tribute to Two Incredible People: Our Mom and Dad

We are honored to share a bit about the two most selfless and loving people we know—our parents, Dale and Jacquita. They are the kind of people who have spent their lives giving everything they could to others, especially their family, and now, they are in need of a little support themselves.

Dale, our dad, is a Veteran and the most hardworking and giving man you could ever meet. Whether working in the food industry, the medical field, or corrections—he’s done it all with one goal in mind: providing for his family. He’s the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back, even if it meant he’d go without. A true jack of all trades, a loving father, and the best Papaw his grandkids could ask for.

Jacquita, our mom, is a retired nurse whose nurturing spirit and quiet strength have been the backbone of our family. She’s sacrificed more times than we can count to ensure her kids were safe, healthy, and loved. To us, she is a saint. To her grandkids, the most devoted and loving Mimi.

Recently, life has thrown some challenges their way. Dad is recovering from open-heart surgery and has just learned he will need a knee replacement soon. Mom suffered a severe case of shingles last year and is now dealing with chronic nerve pain and mobility issues.

These health issues have taken a toll not only physically and emotionally but financially. Time off work, mounting medical bills, and everyday living costs are creating a heavy burden. One of the biggest stressors is keeping up with the cost of their only vehicle, which they depend on for medical visits, follow-ups, and the essentials of daily life.

We’ve all heard the phrase “It takes a village to raise a child,” and we believe it also takes a village to care for the ones who raised us. So today, we’re reaching out to our extended village—our friends, family, and community—for support.
