After my last successful career that spanned 23 years, I found myself facing an unexpected turn of events. In 2023, the company I had dedicated my professional life to filed for bankruptcy, leading to my layoff. Since then, I have been actively seeking employment in my field, and elsewhere.

But despite my best efforts, I have not been able to secure a new position.

As many of you know, I have owned my home for many years and have always taken pride in maintaining it. This year, I had hoped to retire and enjoy the fruits of my labor, but the financial strain of unemployment has made that dream increasingly difficult to attain. With my savings dwindling, I am struggling to keep up with my mortgage payments and utilities.

It is with a heavy heart that I turn to the GoFundMe community and friends for assistance. I have always been a firm believer in hard work and self-reliance, but these past two years have taught me that sometimes, we all need a little help.
