Supporting the Ongoing Mission of Kipeo & Co

Hi, I’m Moza, a mother, creative and founder of Kipeo & Co, a children’s lifestyle and wellbeing brand created to nurture confidence, emotional wellbeing, cultural identity and diversity in young minds.

Kipeo & Co was born from one of the most challenging seasons of my life.

In 2020, my daughter Anaya faced serious health challenges which led to a long hospital stay. I then lost both of my grandparents just eight days apart two months later. It was a period filled with grief and emotional exhaustion.

As I navigated loss while caring for my child, I began noticing how deeply grief was affecting her too. While she was already facing her own health challenges, she was also processing the emotional weight of loss around her. I saw changes in her confidence and sense of self. She questioned her appearance, compared herself to others, and struggled to express emotions she did not yet have the language to understand.

Like many children, she was experiencing complex feelings without the tools or safe emotional spaces to process them. I realised that grief, change and life experiences can quietly shape a child’s inner world in ways we don’t always recognise.

I wanted something different for her, and for children growing up in a world where identity, belonging and self-worth can sometimes feel fragile.

That moment became the beginning of Kipeo & Co.

Kipeo, inspired by the Swahili word *Kipepeo* meaning butterfly, represents growth, transformation and the journey of becoming. What started as affirmation and emotional wellbeing flashcards created for my daughter has grown into a wider mission: helping children build confidence, understand their emotions and feel proud of who they are.

Today, Kipeo & Co has officially relaunched and continues to grow as a purpose-led brand supporting families through thoughtfully created wellbeing resources for children.

This fundraiser is not about starting again, it is an invitation for those who believe in our mission to support its continued growth and impact.

Contributions help us to:

• Develop and produce new and expanded collections of inclusive emotional wellbeing and confidence-building products

• Invest in thoughtful design, sustainable production and high-quality materials for future Kipeo & Co resources

• Grow our product range to better support children’s mental wellbeing, identity and self-expression

• Strengthen the visibility, reach and long-term sustainability of Kipeo & Co as a purpose-led brand

• Allocate a portion of growth toward community initiatives, including selected giveaways, school engagement and outreach through Kipeo Cares CIC

As our journey evolves, we are building Kipeo Cares CIC, the community impact arm of Kipeo & Co. This initiative allows us to extend our work beyond products in a structured and sustainable way, partnering with schools, parent communities and underserved families through wellbeing-focused programmes, workshops and carefully allocated donated resources.

Kipeo & Co represents more than a business. It is a lifelong journey rooted in healing, growth, diversity and empowerment for the next generation.
