From Loss to Legacy: Help Relaunch Kipeo & Co
Hi, I’m Moza, a mother, creative, and founder of Kipeo & Co, a children’s lifestyle and wellness brand rooted in emotional wellbeing, cultural identity, and confidence-building for young minds.
Kipeo was born from pain, but built on purpose.
In 2020, I lost both of my grandparents just eight days apart. Around the same time, my daughter, Anaya, faced serious health challenges that led to a long hospital stay. It was one of the most difficult seasons of our lives, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
As I navigated my own grief, I watched my daughter begin to doubt herself. She compared her appearance to others. She questioned her worth. She didn’t have the language to explain how she felt, and I didn’t have the tools to help her heal in the way she needed.
That moment changed everything. I knew children like her needed more. More support. More emotional tools. More cultural pride. More soft spaces to grow.
So I created Kipeo & Co; a brand designed to uplift children from the inside out. Our first products were affirmation flashcards and emotional wellbeing cards made for kids like Anaya. These tools helped her find her voice again. And they helped me connect with her more deeply as a mother.
Kipeo (short for Kipepeo, which means butterfly in Swahili) represents growth, transformation, and the beauty of becoming. We are now rebuilding from scratch, after a few hurdles but I refuse give up on this vision. This time, I’m inviting my community to be part of the journey.

This brand is a love letter to my daughter, to my late grandparents, and to every family navigating life, loss, difficulties and growth.
