Support a Hardworking Mom and Daughter in Need

Donation protected
First, I want to say thank you – from the bottom of my heart – to everyone who has supported us so far. Thanks to your kindness, we’ve raised about $233 of our $500 goal. I’ve already been able to use some of those funds to keep a roof over our heads for a few nights and to hold onto our rental car for transportation. This has truly made a difference in keeping my daughter and me safe over the past few days.

As of now, we’re not out of the woods yet. The money raised has gone quickly toward nightly shelter and car rental fees, which are essential for our safety and my ability to work. A dear friend stepped in to help book a room for us temporarily (for which I’m very grateful), but that was a short-term relief. We still face ongoing day-to-day costs to ensure we have a safe place to sleep and a way for me to get to work and earn income (I’ve been driving for Uber when I can). In short, the support so far helped immensely, but our struggle continues while we work toward a stable situation.

I’ll be honest: this journey has been emotionally and spiritually exhausting. I’m doing everything I can to stay strong and proactive – driving whenever I get a chance, applying to more stable opportunities, and seeking long-term solutions – but it’s hard to get back on my feet overnight. My number one priority is to keep my little girl safe through this turbulent time. With a bit more help and a little more time, I’m hopeful we can get through this transition and land in a better place soon.

Because of this, I am humbly updating our fundraiser and goal. We’ve adjusted our goal from $500 to $750 to reflect the continued need over the next couple of weeks. This slightly increased goal will go toward covering a few more weeks of motel stays and the car rental costs so I can keep working and eventually secure more permanent housing for us. I want to be transparent that every additional dollar will go directly to these essentials – shelter and transportation – which are literally what keep us safe and moving forward right now. I’m not seeking any comfort or luxury, just the basic stability to get us through December.

To everyone who has donated, shared, or sent prayers: thank you. Your generosity has given us hope and a fighting chance. If you’re able to donate even $5 or share this updated campaign with one or two more people, it would mean the world to us. No contribution is too small – truly. Even a few dollars can add up to another safe night for my daughter and me. And if you cannot give at this time, simply sharing our story or sending positive thoughts our way is a gift in itself. We appreciate you all so much. Thank you for believing in us during this challenging time – your support is what keeps us going.
