According to what happened, the streamer approached this worker and pretended to steal money using the worker’s phone. It was not taken as a joke, especially because this employee was already having a very rough day. In that moment, the worker tried to explain that they work extremely hard and that what was happening was not funny, but they were laughed at and treated like their feelings did not matter.

Now the incident has gone viral, and there is real concern that this hardworking person could lose their job because of a situation they did not create. Luke wants to help give this employee some breathing room while everything unfolds, especially so they can keep supporting their family and have some protection if they are fired. This fundraiser is about standing up for a working person who is busting their butt and should not have to fear losing stability because someone wanted content and clicks.
