Publishing is expensive. This fundraiser is for empowering children.
Even though I am self-publishing, I still have the cost of illustrations, the ISBN barcode number, sales license, and business license fees, etc. I am working off an older computer that is hanging on by a thread. I am a retired grandmother of 4 grandchildren (3 under the age of 6), living on social security, so I need your help.
GoFundMe requires that there be no raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or promotions offered in exchange for any donations made to any GoFundMe. I appeal to your heart. I am willing to do the work, but I need people like you who care and love the idea of providing a better story to inspire our children to adopt higher ideals.
I made a prototype of my coloring book, and my granddaughters were excited and enthralled for over 2 hours in my Color the Truth Coloring Book.
My three-year-old especially loved the page on the truth that "true love" lives in you.
Do you get the picture?
During these formative years is the best time to learn the truth about who you are. It is not about finding a prince to find "true love" and then you live happily ever after. The truth is love is already inside.
As she climbed into my lap to color the truth about love, she not only felt my love, but I got to listen to her questions and tell her stories about where we find "true love."
Introduction to the Fairytale that is an E-Book that was written to elaborate more on the stories of what was suppressed or how the Divine Feminine ought to have been. It expands on what is in the coloring book. If I can raise enough money it will be published in paperback.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME OUT. This is a necessary phase to have the seed money to be able to self-publish.
Introduction
This is a myth-busting, deconstruction fairytale with a companion coloring-book series—created to help children (and the adults who love them) color in deeper truths and awaken the Divine Spark within.
For eons, many of the fairy tales often written by men suggested that you find “true love” only by finding a prince. These magical fairytale stories have brought beauty, wonder, and imagination—but they have also left out something just as important: the truth about “true love”…the real place where “true love” is found. It was hidden as a secret that few knew where to find or look. This was the intention.
Todays new stories are being written, as a welcome change, as many of them celebrate courage, independence, and strength. Yet sometimes, in the rush to make girls strong, we forget to make them supported.
The presence of wise, nurturing feminine guidance is not only missing, but if our young maiden encounters an older woman, she is often demonized—made into a hag. If she is beautiful, she is still portrayed as dangerous. She can turn into a dragon and destroy your prince.
When we watch modern stories like Frozen 2, we see brave young heroines facing enormous, complex challenges. Their courage is inspiring. And yet, something quietly missing is the presence of older, wiser women—grandmothers, mentors, and elders—who once helped guide young people through fear, change, and uncertainty. Children naturally experience big emotions when they encounter stories of danger and transformation. What helps them feel safe is not only bravery, but also the reassurance that loving, steady adults are there beside them. They are not alone.
This project was born from a simple question:
What if our stories once again remembered the wisdom of the sacred feminine—the voices that teach children they do not have to face life alone?
Across cultures and centuries, there were once powerful stories of Divine Feminine wisdom—of the Holy Sophia, the equal partnership of the beloved Magdalene and Yeshua, the Oracles of ancient Greece and their beloved Goddesses. All of whom were women who held sacred knowledge, compassion, and a deep understanding of the human heart. Many of these stories faded from our shared imagination, not because they lacked beauty, but because they were no longer passed down.
Please consider why? The movie Magnificent introduces the idea that the patriarchy was not interested in encouraging young maidens to seek the wisdom of their elders. Older women were wise to the ways of the patriarchy and could be a formidable help in guiding a young maiden to perhaps not fall so hard into the love bombing trap. By design, fairytales were written to steer the young maiden away from the available wisdom. The once powerful stories of Divine Feminine wisdom were banned. We then saw the rise of witch-burning. Who were burned? Basically, wise women, herbalists, midwives, and experienced mothers. Witnessing the burnings in Salem, according to author Marianne Williamson, “Shut us up.” We were deterred from sharing wise teachings that normally would be passed down from mother, aunt, to the young children. Stories became lost…especially if they did not support the patriarchal narrative.
When these stories are missing, we may not even realize what we have lost.
This coloring book is an invitation to rediscover them together.
Art has long been used in healing, education, and remembrance. Through the simple, gentle act of coloring, children can embody ideas of care, belonging, and inner light. When parents and grandparents color alongside them, conversations naturally open—about feelings, courage, wisdom, and the loving guidance that exists across generations.
This book is not about correcting anyone. It is about remembering something precious: that true empowerment includes both strength and support, independence and connection, courage and comfort.
Grandmothers, menopausal women, remember you were part of something meaningful…the fight for women’s rights…human rights. We supported these rights and won. You carry wisdom that still matters. Even though we have slid back somewhat, you have a role here to help bring forth the forgotten stories. You were part of something meaningful. You belonged to a time of great advancement for women. You are needed, now. You carry wisdom and experience that matters. It wasn’t until my 3-year-old granddaughter climbed up into my lap so we could color together that I realized this for myself. I realized we could color the same old images of coloring books or we could color the truth that would encourage the discussions needed to open her eyes to the world of the empowered beautiful world of the sacred feminine.
This story is about the contrast between two worlds: The castle with towers, high walls, drawbridges and the Temple of Diana, part of the seven wonders of the ancient world. A temple high on the hill with open columns that welcome the people in from everywhere. Once up at the top of the stairs to the grand entrance one can imagine being greeted by near 6 ft. statue of the Goddess Artemis. And of course we cannot forget the temple cat. Unfamiliar with her story among others resource links at the end of the acknowledgements are included for those who wish to explore the deeper stories and traditions that inspired this work.
May these pages be a place where young hearts—and older ones too—feel welcomed, held, and inspired to remember their own inner light of feminine wisdom. ✨
