In Gaza, the situation has gone from bad to worse. My friend Mohanad Elladaa, a photographer and journalist, tells me that those near the Egypt border, where he is, are dying in the streets of hunger. Mohanad holds no foreign citizenship and is desperate to leave Gaza, however the Egyptian Border Officers are charging exorbitant fees. All the funds raised in this fundraiser will go to paying the 9-10k fee for Mohanad to leave Gaza in the coming days. Due to a lack of food and water, time is of the essence and this fundraiser is very urgent.

Mohanad, as a photojournalist, has documented the destruction around him over the past few months. Like all from Gaza, Mohanad has lost many of his family members and loved ones to Israeli airstrikes. He was also internally displaced from his home in Gaza City and currently is based out of a tent in Southern Gaza.
