Hey everyone, my name is Mateo and I am a proud first-generation Latino graduate who has just been accepted into medical school. My drive to become a physician stems from the need my friends, family, and I experienced when we often felt misunderstood when receiving care, and since then I have made it my mission to become the physician I once needed.

My pursuit of medical school has always been a little different. Going from the first one to graduate high school in my family, to attending community college and transferring to a 4-year university, getting here has not been easy, but by God's grace, I've been given the chance to give back to my community that has held me up and allowed me to reach this goal.

As I take another step in this direction, I now face the financial task of finding funding for this new journey that awaits me and needing to pay my deposit of 2k in order to secure my seat within the next 3 weeks. Support of any kind is deeply appreciated. I also just want to thank everyone for the amount of love and support that has followed, and I am eternally grateful for it.
