Support a Future Aerospace Engineer Facing Deportation

In life, the strength of determination and hard work are the keys to success. That's what I've learned from my experiences and the path I decided to take.

My story begins in Caracas, Venezuela, where I was born and raised. Due to the authoritarian regime in place in Venezuela, my parents decided it was time to move to a better place for my future, given the growing fear this regime instilled in people.

During my high school years, I dedicated my time to improving my reading, writing, math, science, and history skills so I could attend college and study Aerospace Engineering. I achieved this last spring by being accepted to the University of Central Florida for an aerospace degree and receiving a scholarship for earning summa cum laude at the school. This brings me closer to my goal of not only thanking this country for giving me the opportunity to succeed, but also showing the world that Venezuelans are a group of people capable of overcoming adversity.

However, on October 17th, the immigration court in Orlando rejected the asylum case we filed and issued a deportation order. We are planning to appeal the decision. However, the cost of a lawyer is very high and we do not have enough to cover these costs. That is why I am creating this fund so I can fulfill my dream of becoming an aerospace engineer and help my parents with all these problems.
