Support a Friend: Reliable E-Bike Needed

My elderly friend works as a contractor/handyman and must travel to jobsites that are usually within a 5 mile radius. He is unable to maintain a vehicle and his current means of transport is a very old peddle only bicycle that may not last much longer. Due to his age and physical condition he moves very slowly on his bike and sometimes is unable to make it to his jobsite. I think a sturdy electric bike is the perfect means of transportation for him.
