The new school year is fast approaching and both of my children start on July 29th. I am a low-income parent currently receiving CalWorks, so money is already very tight. Due to the recent passing of my mother, it has become next to impossible to pay for anything that is not absolutely essential. After bills, my money is gone (and sometimes I can’t even pay all of the bills). I really want to send my kids off to school with a fresh start. Their father passed away 2 years ago, and it’s been hard ever since. With their grandmother's recent passing, it has only made a bad situation worse. I’m trying to raise enough money to buy school supplies, backpacks, shoes, and clothing for the new school year. My youngest is turning 6 next month and will be starting 1st grade on July 29, 2025. My oldest is 13 and is going into 8th grade. Anything helps!
