Hi everyone, I’m reaching out because I’m at a crossroads and need help reaching safety. My best friend is helping me share this because she’s seen everything I’ve fought through to get here.
Not long ago, I had to flee an abusive situation with my mom in South Florida, which is what brought me to North Florida. I’ve spent the last four months working hard to rebuild my life from scratch, but last week I was told I have until the end of March to move out so my roommate can prepare for a new baby. Which has now been moved up to mid February as things aren't, well, okay.
Having used every resource to escape my past and survive these last few months, I have no savings left. An old friend in South Carolina has offered me and my pets a safe place to stay, but I can’t get there alone. Between a $350 U-Haul, gas for the 7-hour trip, and pet essentials, the costs are more than I can manage.
I’m terrified to start over again, but I’m hopeful this will be the last time for a long time. Any help to get me and my animals to a stable home means everything.
