Well, setting up a GoFundMe has never worked for me before, but I'm desperate enough to try anything. My car was repossessed without notice (surprisingly, in Louisiana lenders are supposed to give you notice beforehand). I was also fired from my job as an office manager because the daycare is insolvent and I tried to advocate for paying and supporting the teachers. I had to cancel a vet appointment for my dog because I couldn't afford it. She needs her heartworm and flea/tick prevention updated, and her nails clipped.

I thought I would be able to manage my bills by doing freelance work, namely manuscript editing and business consulting. But losing my car has both added a massive extra expense and also taken away my only means of transportation. I don't have family to fall back on as most have passed away or live far away. I just want to get my car back and get my dog's appointment set back up so I can have that peace of mind. Beyond that I would take a jump start into covering rent and other bills coming up. One day I hope I'll be able to live without constantly fearing emergency expenses or having to choose which bill to pay.
