Help Jamie Overcome Long-term Medical Debt

hi there, my name is jamie.

in the middle of 2024 i unfortunately lost the barista job that i loved due to a physical disability in my leg progressing and causing me to struggle standing for more than a few minutes at a time. because of this, i have been out of work since, only barely managing to scrape by doing work online and through the generosity of others. there's not many remote positions where i live, and a lot of the options available that allow seated work have prerequisites i simply don't meet. i've tried applying to what i can, but the responses just don't come through.

i'm tired of needing to ask for help so often, which is why i've decided to ask for a lot of help once instead.

i have a lot of medical debt, most of which is spread out through various credit cards that i cannot manage to pay off, and the accumulated interest is making it impossible to get ahead of. various doctors appointments, there's physically therapy i'm still paying off from 2019. anyone who's been in my shoes knows how hard it can be once it's piled up. i've sold things that are important to me and i still can't manage to make a meaningful dent in what i owe.

even receiving a fraction of what i'm asking for would be incredible, but i've decided to just ask for a significant amount. enough that would drastically flip things around in my life. enough to at least shorten the debt to something i can actually manage to pay off myself while working from home and figuring out how to manage and live with my health problems.
