Support a Former EMT in Need of Dentures

Hello, I’m Zachary from Colorado, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt plea to help my father, a former EMT, firefighter, and heart patient, regain his ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. I’m raising $6,000 to cover the cost of dentures that will transform his quality of life.

My father dedicated years to serving others. As an EMT and firefighter at Skyline Fire, he risked his life to save countless others. Later, he transitioned to the tech industry, working at a community college to support education. But in 2012, a devastating heart attack changed everything, followed by a severe stroke in 2015 that left him permanently disabled. Despite these challenges, his spirit remains strong.

Two years ago, my father made the difficult decision to have his remaining teeth removed to get dentures, hoping to improve his health and comfort. Tragically, the dentist botched the job, providing “temporary dentures” that don’t fit and are unusable. To make matters worse, his Medicaid only covers dentures every seven years and won’t account for this mistake. Without functional dentures, he struggles to eat most foods, depriving him of the nutrition critical for his heart health. The lack of teeth has also impaired his ability to speak clearly, further isolating him.

As his son, I do everything I can to support him, but I’m also disabled and live on a limited income. The $6,000 cost for properly fitted dentures is far beyond our reach, and saving enough feels impossible. This is why I’m turning to you for help.
