Support a Father's Fight to Keep His Son

In March, my ex-wife moved out-of-state with her new boyfriend, after living in the same town as me and my son for 5 years. As we also divorced 6 months prior. A month later, I retained a lawyer, out of fear that when my ex took my son for the summer, she wasn’t going to bring him back. The custody at this point was suppose to be every other week we had him and she wasn’t going to be able to do so any longer.

This prompted her to now fight for sole custody of my son, whom I’ve had always been his sole care provider. I just found out today (Aug. 8,2024) that my lawyer is now retiring and closing his law firm, even though I have already paid him a $2,000 retainer, which he will not return. I need to find a different lawyer to take my case now, but I am struggling to afford a new attorney.

I’m asking for help so I can continue my case and not lose custody of my son, who has been in my care since the day he was born. I am deeply scared of the outcome of this case. My son means everything to me and your help would be very appreciated.
