A family of four was on vacation together in Playa del Carmen when an unexpected and stressful accident occurred.

While standing on the third-story balcony of their accommodation, the structure suddenly gave way beneath the husband, Tyler, causing him to fall. He was rushed to the hospital immediately. After evaluation, doctors confirmed Tyler sustained a broken hip in 3 places and a concussion. He is currently hospitalized and awaiting surgery, which cannot proceed until necessary medical parts are ordered and surgery prepaid . This will potentially leave Tyler unable to walk for 3 months or more.

This tragic accident has turned what was meant to be a family vacation into a medical emergency.

Unfortunately, Tyler and his family do not have enough to cover their full medical expenses. $20,000.00CAD was already paid upon arrival for immediate evaluations and one nights care, and the surgery cost is estimated at $48,000.00CAD not including anything following the surgery like medications, physio, missed work etc.
