14 days ago, everything changed.
Raj—a devoted father of two young daughters (ages 2 and 7) and a wife—was driving home after work, just like any other day. But he never made it home.
A drunk driver, speeding the wrong way down crashed into him in Edmonton, Alberta.
In an instant, his life—and his family’s—was turned upside down.
Raj has now been in the ICU for 14 days, fighting for his life. His right side of the body is not functional at all and waiting for the surgeries to be performed, two surgeries were already being completed - one for the left leg and one for the abdomen, recently he got lung infection too.
His daughters don’t fully understand what’s happening… only that their dad isn’t there to tuck them in at night. His wife is currently by his side in the hospital, caring for him while also trying to support their two young daughters.
His family is living in constant fear and uncertainty—holding onto hope, praying for recovery, and trying to stay strong for the children.

Raj is the sole breadwinner.
Despite doing everything right—working full-time for over 11 years, unfortunately raj did not have health benefits, disability or critical injury benefits.
