On January 9, 2025, a hard-working single father had just moved into his newly purchased condo, a home that he bought for his children's future - excited to spend their very first Christmas together this year in their new home. What was meant to be a season of peace, stability, and new beginnings suddenly turned into tragedy and destruction in the blink of an eye! On November 21, 2025, without any warning, and with the father & his sons fast asleep, an elderly neighbor’s unit exploded, causing a massive fire that tore through the building within just minutes. The neighbor tragically lost her life, and the blast severely damaged the surrounding units, including the home of this dedicated father and his amazing sons!

When the fire erupted, the father and his boys had no time to gather essentials or personal belongings. Assisted by a firefighter, the 3 of them escaped with nothing but the clothes on their backs and the shoes on their feet. After the father was told that he could not go back into his home, for his safety, he pleaded with a firefighter to go back into his severely damaged home to retrieve his late mother's ashes. With bravery and an overwhelming sense of humanity, the firefighter honored the father's request and went back into the smoke-filled condo to retrieve the urn containing the ashes of the homeowner's mother, who sadly passed away just 2 months before he purchased his 1st home... a heartbreaking reminder of what truly matters most in life, and a somber reflection of how much they have lost.

As you can imagine, starting over from absolutely nothing is overwhelming. The family is displaced and currently facing urgent needs. While a temporary 2-week housing arrangement has been offered, it is not a long-term solution. Insurance claims have been opened, but the process is slow, as officials continue investigating the cause of the explosion. This family of 3 needs immediate support to rebuild their lives from the ground up.

● Clothing and shoes for the father and his boys
