I am definitely putting my pride to the side for not just myself but my family. I recently regained employment after being out of work for the past five months.

Prior to this, my family and I lived in a hotel for several months. This was after an unlawful eviction from my apartment complex two days before Thanksgiving 2022.

Following our hotel stay, we were able to secure a property for rent. We were informed yesterday that the owner of the property has listed the home up for sale. We are able to continue through the lease in the interim (April 2025).

My current employment is 100% remote which allows me to drop off and pick up my boys (ages 9 years and 2 years) throughout the school season. Since I was out of work, I hadn’t been able to keep up with the full payments since losing my job in February 2024. Now, my only means of transportation for my family, has been charged off by my lender and is up for repossession. The amount to at least have the repossession cancelled and begin a payment plan is $2200.00. Of course, this is something I do not have and am not receiving my first paycheck until 8-16-24.

I've gone through and to various community resources (I am a former case manager so finding community resources was a needed skill for clients) as well as family. It is because of said assistance we have been able to stay afloat thus far.
