Support a Family to Reconnect Their Power

Hello,

I have never been good about this type of thing and even as I type this my body is having a very visceral response to asking for help.

While money has always been tight my wife and I have managed to make ends meet. We have been on a payment plan with the power company but we missed the payment last month which kicked us off of the payment plan.

This morning, 6/10/25, our power was shut off and we owe $2,430.44. The minimum to get it turned back on and back on the payment plan is about half somewhere around $1,200.

I don't know which would be better as the goal or how this all works. My thinking is that if we can pay it down all the way then it will be easier to keep up with it better in the future. I fear we are asking too much but I don't know.

This is not life or death. We have jobs and we have family that can take us in until it is figured out if we need but any help will be greatly appreciated.
