Support a Family Rebuilding After a Tragic Fire

This fundraiser is for a family of seven who recently lost their home in a fire. Ashley Grace and her brother, Matthew Grace, inherited the house from their father who passed away a few years ago. They have been working hard to remodel the home to accommodate their large family. Ashley is the mother of four children, and unfortunately, the fire started in her young son's room. His room and the master bathroom were completely destroyed. Luckily, Ashley, her partner, and the children were not home when the fire broke out, but Matthew, who works overnights, was asleep and woke to the strong smell of something burning. When he opened his door, he was shocked to see nothing but thick, black smoke everywhere. He quickly closed his door and escaped with his dog out a window. Matthew is okay but suffered from some smoke inhalation. Sadly, the family cat was unable to escape and succumbed to the smoke. Although they had homeowners insurance, due to an issue with smoke alarms, they are unsure if they will receive the full coverage. With her permission, I am creating this fund to share their story in the hope that we can help them recover and replace some of the losses they endured.
