My name is Kaine I'm a 15 year old attending John Muir Highschool with a +3.6 G.P.A, my mom and I really need your help. Our house burned to the ground on January 7 in the Altadena fire. We lost everything. The bike I use to get to and from school, all my clothes, my computer, my school stuff, including all my gear for water polo. Our two cars burned down as well. My mom and I left our home with only one change of clothing for her, and two for me. We thought we were going to go back home the next day. Now, we are sleeping on the floor at my aunt’s home, eating food from the shelter, and trying to wrap our minds around the fact that we have nothing. Absolutely nothing. No dishes, bath towels, shoes, home appliances, and most of all, the comfort of our home. It was small but perfect for my mom and I. I’m worried about my mom. She has serious health issues (she suffers from several chronic conditions due to Guillain-Barré syndrome). Losing everything has completely devastated her. It’s going to take a long time, but with your help, we will get back on our feet. We are starting this GoFundMe to rally support as we navigate this overwhelming loss. Anything, even a small amount would mean the world to us. I firmly believe in paying it forward, and I will never forget the kindness of others.
