On Saturday night 11/16/24, we were out doing some Christmas shopping, since we did not have our kiddos for the night. On our way home, around 8:30pm, we were faced with one of the scariest situations while out driving. Two men, coming home from a wedding, more than likely both drunk, ran a red light causing us to collide, swerving completely out of our control. Our car was wrecked, caught on fire, and obviously totaled. We were both transported to Butler Memorial Hospital via the ambulance. Both very sore, very bruised, and very scared. We were lucky enough to have less serious injuries, but still have injuries that hurt, are uncomfortable, and will require healing just the same. We simply are asking for help with possible rental car fees, as we have absolutely no idea what will be happening next, and are nervous on how long this will take to get situated. With two jobs, two kids, and other things going on, being without a car is anything less than ideal. With the holidays coming as well we are nervous about both the emotional and financial toll this will be taking on us. Any help is truly truly appreciated. But we do understand those who can’t help. We are simply doing what we can, where we can, to possibly get ahead of all this.
