Hi everyone, I'm reaching out for urgent help during an incredibly challenging time. For years, I dedicated myself to Millers Merry Manor, a nursing home that became my second home. Unfortunately, my boss misused my FMLA, which led to the loss of the progress from my recent foot surgery in February. I’m currently awaiting mediation with the Equal Employment Opportunity company regarding these charges, and I’ve also been waiting on unemployment for four months after being illegally terminated while on FMLA.

Adding to these struggles, my family and I are now facing homelessness. For the last six months, our water bill has been exorbitant, reaching $[phone redacted]. We've dealt with dangerous conditions, like a huge wasp nest in our kitchen light socket that stung two of my children, and our landlord refused to fix the air conditioning for two weeks. After 13 years of neglect and being denied necessary repairs, our landlord decided to terminate our lease with less than two weeks' notice, forcing us to put our belongings in storage.

I’m now desperately seeking assistance to cover the costs of a hotel or a bed and breakfast while I look for a more permanent solution, as well as for food and gas. I also need to undergo another surgery on October 10th. Any contribution, big or small, will help us get back on our feet. I am also in the process of seeking legal help to address these injustices and secure our future home. I recently discovered that our address was incorrect in the system, which allowed our landlord to break our lease and avoid necessary inspections.
