Three weeks ago, my father-in-law was unexpectedly detained by I.C.E. and is currently in custody awaiting his court date on July 1. He was the head of the household and the primary provider, so his absence has put a huge financial strain on our family.

My mother-in-law used all of their savings to hire an immigration attorney and is now struggling to cover living expenses while caring for my 14-year-old brother-in-law. We're asking for any help to get her through the next few weeks — or however long it takes — until my father-in-law is released and able to return to work.
