Hi, I'm Katrina. I'm doing this fundraiser for a widowed mother of 3 girls in need of desperate help getting a lawyer. I'm not adding names or faces in order to keep them safe.

I know a lot of us love Trump and most of his decisions, but case by case is necessary to avoid families seeking asylum like this one. I'm not here to make this post political by any means at all, just giving a bit of context of why she's desperate. This mother watched her husband, his brother, his wife and kids, and their father be killed by the cartel, and she escaped with her girls before they could take her children too.

Now she has been to courts and sought help in order to become legal and documented, but it's, of course, hard for a woman with kids from another country to get a decent job to afford to live, much less these expensive lawyers. She has all of her information and proof, and I promise you she's carrying proof that would keep you awake at night and definitely holding your children close. The judge told her she needs a legal lawyer to represent her, or they will be shipped back by the summer. Any dollar gets her closer to becoming 100% safe with her children.

Her daughters are 8, 9, and 13 years old. As a mother, I could never imagine the strength it took her to fight to get here after what they've been through and witnessed. Please help me get them protection. Don't let them be sent back to destruction, fear, torture, and death. We're their only hope, and she's on her last option here, which is all of us. Moms, dads, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, and children, those kids need your help. We sleep peacefully knowing we have rights and protection; let's help someone who actually deserves it sleep peacefully too. This money will directly go to a lawyer.
