I’m reaching out because a close friend of mine—someone I’ve known for over 30 years—needs support during a very difficult situation.

She is a hardworking single mother of three who has been dealing with ongoing mold issues in her apartment for over a year. Despite repeated attempts to address it, the problem has only been temporarily covered up, and the mold continues to return. As a result, her children have been getting sick, and the situation is becoming increasingly urgent.

To make matters worse, she is now facing pressure that could impact her housing over minor issues, adding even more stress to an already difficult situation.

She has already paid a $175 application fee to begin the process of getting help. Right now, the most immediate need is $500 to cover professional mold testing so she can get clear answers and documentation. Testing is scheduled the first week of May. (Yes! We are desperate right now!)

She is currently working with legal aid, but like many services, they are overwhelmed and can only provide limited support. I am also adding $1000 to the goal for legal representation/consult.

As the situation changes I will continue to update this campaign.
