On November 27th around 2 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, a fire occurred in our basement in my bedroom. My family fortunately escaped the fire. My father had gotten up to use the bathroom and immediately noticed the smoke and woke my family. As they did, they attempted to look for our cat, Nino. He was unable to be located and unfortunately did pass away.

My bedroom, located in the basement, was completely destroyed in the fire with nothing remaining in it. I hope those reading keep my family in your thoughts and prayers as we transition into this new chapter in our lives and try to push forward through it all. We will be unable to stay at our house due to the severe smoke damage done to the rest of the home.

We are very fortunate to have each other right now and appreciate the love from surrounding friends/family these past few days.
