Urgent Relief for Joe's Family After Hurricane Helene

Hey Friends, my name is Danielle Smith and I’m reaching for the stars here to help my brother Joe, wife Jenny, 2 daughters Emily & Megan and my nephew William who were hit by the hurricane last night in Oldsmar, Fl. They have been displaced and lost everything. Please take the time to read why I am making this decision to ask for help at this time.

Hurricane Helene has turned my brother’s life upside down. His home, where he and his wife raised their three children for the past 18 years, was flooded with 4-5 feet of water. They lost everything. The home they knew is unlivable, and when he reached out to his property management for help, they had no assistance or options to offer.

They evacuated with only the clothes on their backs, using my brother’s little Jon boat to escape. Once they made it to a family member’s home further inland, my brother and nephew went back out to help rescue others trapped by the floodwaters, as the need for help and the level of devastation was still unknown.

To make matters worse, his job’s payroll system is down due to the hurricane, and they are currently unable to process his paycheck, leaving them without any financial resources during this crisis.

I’m asking for help because my brother is the kind of person who would never ask for it himself. He’s always been there for others, but now, he and his family need support. Right now, they’re displaced and unsure of what’s next, and any assistance would make a world of difference.

The funds raised will go towards:

• Temporary housing for him, his wife, and their children

• Basic necessities like clothes, food, and hygiene products

• Help replacing essential items they’ve lost

• Storage for anything that can be saved from the flood

• U-Haul rental to transport what they can salvage
