Dear friends, family, and community, We are reaching out on behalf of a beautiful family who is currently walking through one of life’s hardest battles — cancer. In the midst of this storm, their faith in God remains unshaken. They have long been devoted servants of the Lord, always ready with a helping hand, a word of prayer, and hearts full of love for others. Now, it’s our turn to support them.

Leanne Phillips was diagnosed with breast cancer at the end of May. We are all so thankful that it was caught early, but due to her diagnosis and family history she will be having a double mastectomy. On a mission trip in June, they were connected with an amazing breast surgeon in San Antonio, Texas. He loves the Lord and is an expert in the breast procedure she will have. It was no "coincidence" they found this surgeon, but a gift from God. This journey thus far has been incredibly difficult wirh insurance and approvals. At first she was approved, but then recently denied by her insurance for coverage with these doctors in Texas. After a lot of prayer, they are taking this step of faith in moving forward without insurance, they truly believe that this is best course of treatment.

The mounting medical expenses, time off work, and day-to-day needs will create a heavy burden with their family. Robbie and Leanne both teach at Christian schools and have 5 beautiful kids, ages ranging from 9 to 30. And as of right now their out of pocket expenses will be close to $60,000.00
