SYNOPSIS
What’s supposed to be a fun double date between two couples warps into a clash of the carpet-munchers in A Duel Between D*kes. Skye and Margo don’t quite know what they’re signing up for when they agree to double date with TikTok-famous micro-celesbians Larissa, Skye’s sketchy high school bestie, and her partner Logan. Will the night end in a fight or a foursome?
ABOUT THE FILM
A Duel Between Dykes is a satirical romcom written and directed by Cheyenne Edwards, a Black lesbian filmmaker who is passionate about telling stories that break the mold. Tired of the same old coming out narratives, Cheyenne set out to create a comedy that is messy, funny, annoying, and unapologetically horny—something she and so many others have been craving in lesbian cinema. With a predominantly Black and queer cast and crew, this project is all about authenticity, joy, and representation.
We’re raising funds to bring this vision to life this summer. Your support will help us cover essential production costs, pay our talented cast and crew fairly, secure the perfect locations, and ensure a high-quality post-production process. Every dollar goes directly into making this film as bold and joyful as possible.
We would be so grateful for your support in bringing A Duel Between Dykes to the screen. Every contribution, big or small, helps us create something truly special and representative. Thank you for believing in our vision and helping us make lesbian cinema a little messier, funnier, and more real!
ABOUT THE STUDIO
For the last decade, crowdfunding has allowed Fuck Hollywood Productions to build cinematic trust with audiences worldwide. Our films have reached large audiences and proved independent, community-driven cinema works. For example, our 16mm-shot, Blaxploitation and superhero-inspired short film, Supernigga, received 370,000 views on YouTube in just four weeks.
By letting the community fund and shape the movies, we reduce risk, maximize creative freedom, and deliver the stories audiences actually want: radical, unapologetic, and progressive cinema versus stale stories made solely for profit. You can’t be the people’s studio without building with the people.
