Hey friends, family, and every potential extension of those two groups.
Most of you know I’ve a definite passion for gardening, farming, permaculture, and food sovereignty, especially as these activities relate to community strengthening.
Many of you have also followed along as my sons have grown up or gone on, granting me finally the freedom to chase my own dreams. Obviously, my five sons (born, passed, and claimed as mine) and husband could use me around the place, along with the income I bring to our little family compound, but they’re on board. Just strapped thin.
Nevertheless, I’ve been given the space to pursue my farming dreams by attending the School of Adaptive Agriculture’s 2025 13-week Summer Farm School. Via the generosity of that same school, I’ve been gifted a scholarship and work trade arrangement to cover my tuition. I’m ELATED at this manifestation. It means I can get in the door, but caring for my own basic needs, and those of my family while I’m away, presents a great challenge, still.
As Rent-a-Mom, most of my clients have become part of my family, too. I’ve been assured work upon my return, and for that, I am so very grateful. I just need a little grease, a cushion for emergencies, and a tune-up on our little car which will be carrying me to Mendocino County, come June 1st.
I’m asking here for help covering my responsibilities, basic human and safety needs—even my dreams, all at once. It is with great, humbling love I present this to the universe.
So mote it be.
