Help DJ Capital Kaos Dance Again After a Devastating Injury
Hi, I’m Capital Kaos—a DJ, producer, and lifelong advocate for the underground music scene, ballroom culture, and the power of dance floors to heal and uplift. You’ve seen me behind the booth at 3AM. You’ve vogued, stomped, and celebrated your truth while I pumped the beat. But today, I’m facing something I never saw coming—and I need your help.
From Dance Floors to Daily Survival
Recently, a sudden and aggressive bacterial infection led to the unthinkable: the amputation of half of my right foot. One day I was walking to a gig, the next I was in the ER, trying to save my leg and my life.
This injury has turned my world upside down.
I’m now in the middle of a long, grueling recovery that includes:
Daily hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) sessions—each one lasting hours, inside a pressurized tube, meant to accelerate healing and prevent further complications.
Mobility challenges—I rely on a walker that is clunky and painful, and without proper support, I can’t safely navigate my city or stand long enough to perform.
Mental and emotional toll—as someone whose art is movement, music, and connection, this has been both physically and spiritually devastating.
Why I Need Your Help
DJing, production and consulting isn’t just how I make a living. It’s how I live. It’s how I connect with my community, create safe spaces, and contribute to the culture that gave me a home. But right now, I’m unable to work, perform, or even get to a gig safely. I’m fighting just to get back to square one.
Every dollar helps me move—literally—closer to healing and returning to work.
Prefer to Support Through Music?
If you’d rather contribute in a way that keeps the beats going, you can purchase my music directly at: capitalkaos.bandcamp.com
Every stream, every track, every remix bought is another step toward reclaiming my rhythm.
Why This Means So Much
I’ve spent my life creating music that moves people. I’ve spun at fundraisers, pride parades, underground raves, community centers, and ballrooms. I’ve been there for you during your celebrations, heartbreaks, and self-revolutions. Now, I’m asking you to be there for me.
If you’ve ever:
Felt free on a dance floor because of a beat I made
Seen yourself in the safety of a late-night set
Needed ballroom culture to survive, heal, or find your people
Then I hope you'll consider helping me heal.
This injury doesn’t just threaten my body—it threatens everything I’ve built and given back. But with your support, this won’t be the end of my story. It’ll be the remix.
With all my heart and all my beats,
CAPITAL K’AOS
